In alignment with our mission, we aim to ensure that all registered exercise professionals demonstrate the highest standards of professional conduct, integrity, and accountability in their practice.

The REPs Pakistan Code of Ethics serves as a guiding framework to protect the interests of clients, promote trust in the profession, and uphold the values of safety, respect, and transparency within the fitness community.

Every registered member of REPs Pakistan pledges to abide by this Code of Ethics.

Professional Standards

A REPs Pakistan registered professional shall:

  • Maintain their qualification level and engage in continuing professional development (CPD).

  • Base their professional practice on current knowledge, evidence, and research.

  • Act strictly within the boundaries of their qualifications and registration level.

  • Provide accurate details of their qualifications, experience, and REPs registration upon request.

  • Recognize when a client’s needs are beyond their expertise and refer them to a qualified professional.

  • Project an image of professionalism, good health, and integrity.

  • Understand and respect their legal responsibilities and professional accountability.

  • Take personal responsibility for all professional actions and decisions.

Respect and Transparency

A REPs Pakistan professional shall:

  • Treat all individuals with respect, dignity, and fairness, valuing diversity and inclusivity.

  • Avoid discrimination of any kind based on age, gender, disability, ethnicity, religion, or background.

  • Create a welcoming and equitable environment for all clients and participants.

  • Maintain clear and accurate records of client interactions, sessions, and progress.

  • Protect and preserve confidential information related to clients’ health, personal, or social circumstances.

  • Disclose client information only when necessary and with explicit consent, except where required by law.

  • Be transparent about all financial costs and service terms before commencing any activity.

  • Ensure that agreements with clients are clear, written, and fair, protecting both the professional and the client in case of dispute.

Relationships

A REPs Pakistan professional shall:

  • Act with honesty, integrity, and professionalism in all relationships.

  • Avoid any form of inappropriate behavior or conflict of interest with clients.

  • Prioritize the health, safety, and well-being of participants above all else.

  • Communicate with clarity, respect, and honesty with clients, colleagues, and other professionals.

  • Build relationships based on trust, transparency, and ethical boundaries.

Safety

A REPs Pakistan professional shall:

  • Always ensure the safety and welfare of clients and participants.

  • Demonstrate a duty of care and respond appropriately to accidents or emergencies.

  • Never promote, condone, or distribute performance-enhancing or banned substances.

  • Ensure that clients are physically prepared and medically cleared (where applicable) for exercise.

  • Recognize and respect the physical and psychological limits of each participant.

  • Promote safe and sustainable fitness practices that support long-term well-being.

General Conduct

A REPs Pakistan professional shall:

  • Uphold the reputation and credibility of REPs Pakistan, the fitness industry, and fellow professionals.

  • Refrain from any behavior or statement that could bring the profession or organization into disrepute.

  • Ensure all advertising, social media, and promotional materials are truthful, respectful, and evidence-based.

  • Avoid exaggerated or misleading claims about services, outcomes, or expertise.

  • Serve as a positive ambassador for Pakistan’s fitness industry, promoting integrity and excellence in every aspect of professional practice.

By becoming a registered member of REPs Pakistan, all exercise professionals commit to upholding this Code of Ethics as a condition of their ongoing membership and professional recognition.
